Large suite on second floor of an ancient building, sleeps 4 - 6. This gite has a large balcony/terrace with a panoramic view of Lagrasse and its surroundings.
Off season this gite can also be booked per night (as chambres d´hôtes).
La Terasse consists of:
Spacious kitchen with dining table, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, oven, toaster, coffee maker, cuttlery etc. Access to balcony.
Living with sofa, TV, HiFi music system, DVD-player and WiFi internet access.
1 bedroom with airconditioning and double bed 180 x 200. From here too you have access to the balcony.
1 small bedroom with two single beds 80 x 190 and convertible.
Bathroom with bathtub, shower and wash basin. Separate WC.
Occupants are asked to clean the house upon departure.
Sheets and towels will be provided.
Hair dryer, iron and ironing board available
Central heating and air conditioning.
A pleasant place to meet with other guests (gite Cancans and chambre d´hôtes Glycines) is the patio on the ground floor. A relaxing place to be, under the shade of wisteria and stone arches.
You will find Lagrasse in the heart of the Corbieres - arisen around the abbey (8th century). This village will seduce you with its historic past, its gastronomy, its authenticity and its mediterranean climate: sun in abundance...
Worth seeing: Courtyard of the Palais vieux, the chapel of the abbey, the monastery (18th century), the bell-tower, the dormitory of the abbey, the village with covered market and quaint cobblestone streets, the gorgeous swimming spots in the river Orbieu...
The surroundings of Lagrasse are impressing and ideal for bike rides or long walks - everywhere you can enjoy the magnificent views (don´t forget to do the ´Sentier Sculpturel´ at Mayronnes, a walk along art works from all over France).
The Mediterranean beaches are only half an hours drive away, just like the historic city of Carcassonne and many other things worth to see (as there are the Cathar castles Peyrepertuse and Queribus, Aguilar, Villerouge-Termenès, Termes…)
