Lagrasse is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of France with its paved streets, its stone bridge and its abbey, classified as ´Historic Monument´.
The ´Chanoines´ live here since 2004.
´Le Grand Gite de la Rivière´ is a beautiful house of 130 m ² with a terrace of 25m ², situated on the edge of the village, above the river with a view of the abbey. The center of the village with all amenities (bakery, grocer´s shop, tobacco-press, café, restaurants, pharmacy, ...) is less than 300 metres from the house.
The gîte can accommodate up to 10 people.
Description:
On the ground floor is, in the only room, the big fitted kitchen with all comfort (oven, induction cooker, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, etc.). The dining room with a big buffet, a table in wood and 8 chairs, with fans. In the back is the living-room with 2 black leather sofas with a wooden table and a TV flat screen with DVD reader, and a wood stove (with supplied wood). In the lounge is a glazed main entrance which gives access to the terrace where is a big table in wood with its chairs and 2 deckchairs, to bask under the parasol or in the shade of trees with as background noise the wind and the river.
On the 1st floor are 2 bedrooms, the shower-room with shower laid out with river pebbles and 1 washbasin, and one separate toilet.
The main bedroom is endowed with a king size bed, a big cupboard and an old wood cupboard (mosquito net in decoration ) and fan.
The 2nd bedroom is endowed with 2 simple beds with a cupboard, a wooden bed for babies, fan. The Japanese staircase looks onto the mezzanine where is a big double bed and a simple bed .
It is planned to make one 3rd bedroom in the cellar with a bathroom and toilet soon.
The cellar is accessible by the terrace, you will find the laundry with washing machine and kitchen sink as well as necessities for cleaning . a third bedroom has been created in the cellar.
Numerous things will be proposed to you to spend a pleasant stay as well as brochures.
Activities: swimming in the river of Lagrasse or in Termes where flows a cold source.
Visit Cathar castles, honey, wine cellars, olive plantation, wildlife parks, sea, abbeys, potteries, walks and riding horses, MOUNTAIN BIKE, fishing...
Possibility to rent for 2 people out of season.
Price is indicated for 4 people, 50€ per additional person.
