... in one of the quaint streets of this beautiful Corbières village, Boutenac, you will find Phil´s house.
A plain but comfortable and cosy holiday home - the ideal base for trips in the region or a day at one of the Mediterranean beaches. In the evening you can take a walk through the village with its friendly inhabitants and have a drink at the terrace of the local café.

All the interesting sites of this region (like Carcassonne, Narbonne, the Cathar castles) are within easy reach and at the ´Château de Boutenac´ the visitor is spoiled for choice of outstanding Corbières vintages.
The house is hidden behind a small front - watch the steps when you go in here into the large corridor at the end of which you will find the kitchen. Here is a dining table with 6 seats but you can also go outside to the small courtyard where you can take your breakfast or enjoy a warm summer evening. Next to the kitchen is the livingroom with a TV/Video/CDplayer (no window here).
There is a door leading to a corridor with the bathroom and seperate WC.
First floor: In the master bedroom is a double bed, double doors lead to the roof terrace. In the single bedroom you will find bunk beds. There is a second livingroom with 2 seats for people who´d like to sit and read quietly.
On the second floor more bedrooms are planned in future.
Surroundings
During the summer months the village Ribaute nearby offers the possibility of swimming in the river Orbieu. There are numerous possibilities for walking in the hills and forests around Boutenac or in the Corbières. And of course you can make wonderful tours by car, e.g. to the Cathar castles, to the beach, to Carcassonne or even to Barcelona. There is a small supermarket (fresh bread) in the village, there is a café, a post office and a newspapershop. In Lézignan (abt. 10 minutes by car) you will find big supermarkets and on Wednesday mornings there is a market. You can also hire a bike here. In the house a lot of information and brochures are at your disposal.
